Wind Loads: Ultimate Wind Speed: 1 & 2 Family Dwellings/ 85 mph; Risk Category I/ 100 mph; Risk Category II/ 110 mph; Risk Category III & IV/ 115 mph Exposure Category Central Turlock: B (Minimum 1/2 Mile from City Limits or open areas) When not considered Central Turlock utilize exposure category: C.
Rain Loads: 2" per hour
Seismic Loads: Unless otherwise justified by analysis, all buildings and non-building structures within the City limits shall be assigned to Seismic Design Category (SDC) D
In accordance with CBC 1613.3.2, soil Site Class D shall be assumed for all sites unless otherwise justified by a registered design professional and/or geotechnical report.
Soil Bearing Pressure:
- Commercial construction
A Soils Report is required- Allowable Foundation - per Soils Report
- Allowable Lateral - per Soils Report
- Residential construction
- Single story construction
- Allowable Foundation - 1500 psf without a Soils Report
- Allowable Lateral - 100 psf/ft without a Soils Report
- Multi story construction
Unless otherwise approved by the Chief Building Official, a Soils Report is required- Allowable Foundation - per Soils Report
- Allowable Lateral - per Soils Report
- Single story construction
