Concealed Weapons Permit

Application
Effective August 20, 2025, the Turlock Police Department has transitioned the Concealed Carry Weapon Permit process to Permitium. All new applications, renewals, amendments, or duplicate cards will be processed through the web-based system. For those with limited access to a computer, this process can be performed on a smart phone. Additionally, we can make accommodations for computer access at the Turlock Police Department for those in need.Apply Here through Permitium
Fingerprinting
You will be required to submit your fingerprints to DOJ and FBI as part of the permitting process. The Turlock Police Department offers live scan fingerprinting service. An additional fee will be required for fingerprinting submissions.Fingerprinting Service (Live Scan)
Processing
Once the Turlock Police Department receives your criminal history report from DOJ and/or FBI your application package will be routed to the Professional Standards Unit for processing. The Professional Standards Unit will conduct a background investigation and make a determination. Upon successful completion of the background investigation a permit may be issued. Most permits are valid for 2 year and require renewals.Acceptable Firearms Training Courses
